CSBG: Integrated Service Delivery for Working Families
March 04, 2011
Elizabeth Lower-Basch, senior policy analyst with the Workforce Development team at CLASP, will present CSBG: Integrated Service Delivery for Working Families at the NASCSP 2011 Mid-Winter Training Conference in Bethesda, MD on March 4 from 8:45 - 10 a.m. In this session participants will hear about the Center for Working Families (CWF) concept developed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation as a response to the challenges facing low-income workers struggling to meet their own and their families' basic needs through employment alone. The CWF approach seeks to solve the problems low-income families face as they navigate a fragmented system to obtain work-supporting services and benefits. Participants will also hear how CSBG Network members are using the same concepts to integrate services in their communities and what States have done to support the concepts.
