Elizabeth Lower-Basch, senior policy analyst for the Workforce Development team at CLASP, will participate in the event Building Economic Security for Families in Crisis through Education, Employment and Child Care: A Congressional Briefing on TANF Reauthorization, on Dec. 2, 2011 from 2:30 - 4 p.m. at the Capitol Visitor Center in Washington, D.C. Ms. Lower-Basch will join Dr. Sheila Katz with Sonoma State University and Dr. Kevin Miller of the Institute for Women's Policy Research to discuss the latest research on the impact of postsecondary education and training and child care on the economic and educational prospects of low-income women with children. The event is hosted by Women for Economic Justice (WEJ) in partnership with the Institute for Women's Policy Research. CLASP is a sponsor of the event.
