Family Economic Success Learning Network

December 11, 2009

Rutledge Hutson, director of child welfare policy at CLASP, will present during a webinar to the Family Economic Success Learning Network, a project of the Center for the Study of Social Policy, on Friday, Dec. 11, at 2  p.m.  The Learning Network seeks to explore ways for child welfare agencies, TANF agencies, and community-based service providers to work together to promote financial stability among families known to the child welfare system in hopes that risk factors associated with child maltreatment will be ameliorated as financial stresses are lessened.  This webinar, the first in a series, will focus on the opportunities for TANF and child welfare agencies to work together under current law and will begin to explore the improvements that could be made when the TANF program is reauthorized (the current program will expire in 2010).
