Child Poverty Prevention

Jodie Levin-Epstein, CLASP's deputy director, will present at a strategic planning session of the state Child Poverty Prevention Council in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Louisiana is one of 12 states in the nation that has set a poverty reduction target. The council, which is housed in the Department of Social Services, expects to build on its report and recommendations by identifying possible legislative priorities for the 2010 legislative session.
