CLASP Joins Amicus Brief Opposing Rule to Overturn Flores Agreement

The Trump Administration recently finalized regulations that would overturn existing protections for migrant children under the Flores Settlement Agreement. If implemented, the rule will deny asylum-seeking children basic necessities, and they and their families will face indefinite imprisonment. In partnership with Arent Fox LLP—and in an effort to stop the rule before it can be implemented—CLASP spearheaded the effort to mobilize more than 20 organizations dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of children on this amicus brief in opposition to the final rule.
