Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) and Racial Equity

This brief —written by Hannah Matthews and Cemere James—is a joint publication of CLASP and the National Black Child Development Institute.  It provides recommendations to support racial equity by effectively implementing the Child Care and Development Block Grant, focusing on opportunities to enroll, engage, and educate Black children and families. Our goal is to support state administrators committed to racial equity and advocates who are partnering with state administrators.
