Education wins big with legislative measures, funding

“Last week, a report found that a bigger investment in home visiting, child care assistance, cash assistance, and minimum wage enforcement would improve family stability in the state. The New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty and the Center for Law and Social Policy said nearly one-third of the state’s 70,000 infants and toddlers live in poverty and that state investments in helping programs are too low.”
