In this panel presentation, members of the NOTICE Coalition (“No Tech Criminalization in Education”) provide an overview of how controversial police surveillance technologies are entering schools nationwide, enabling a new digital rendering of the school-to-prison pipeline. The presentation also featured an interactive exercise that leverages Afrofuturism as a framework that communities can use to imagine new possibilities for achieving school and community safety.
