Comments on USCIS Fee Schedule and Changes to Certain Other Benefit Request Requirements

The Department of Homeland Security published the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Sevices Fee Schedule on November 14, 2019. The proposed fee schedule creates barriers to access crucial immigration benefits by disproportionately increasing fees and eliminating fee waivers for the benefit categories most commonly used by immigrants with low incomes. CLASP submitted these comments on December 23, 2019 strongly urging that USCIS withdraw these and any other provisions of the proposed fee schedule that make it more difficult for immigrants with low incomes to obtain the immigration benefits for which they qualify.
