U.S. Department of Education’s Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistances (ACSFA)

On September 11, 2015, Anna Cielinski, a senior policy analyst with CLASP’s Center for Postsecondary Education and Success, testified to the U.S. Department of Education’s Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistances (ACSFA) at their 2015 Summer Hearing. She discussed the importance of using post-college labor market outcomes for consumer information and provided cautionary recommendations on using labor market outcome data for accountability, in order to limit unintended consequences on access for low-income and underprepared students.
