Uniting to Fight Poverty Summit: Honest Conversations about Race, Inequality and Poverty
Philadelphia is hosting an anti-poverty summit titled “Uniting to Fight Poverty Summit: Honest Conversations about Race, Inequality and Poverty.” Hosted by the Philadelphia Mayor’s Office of Community Empowerment & Opportunity, this one day event will include featured speakers, such as author Dale Russakoff and Mayor Michael Nutter, and provide an opportunity for a diverse range of stakeholders to engage in dialogues around the methods needed to fight poverty.
CLASP senior policy analyst Anna Cielinski will present “WIOA: Can it make a difference for the hardest to serve job seekers, and how?” in a break-out session on job training.
