Your Support Matters
December 18, 2012
Dear Friends of CLASP,
I doubt anyone would say the recent political climate in Washington has been easy. We hear policymakers touting cut, cut, cut - meanwhile, families across America are struggling to meet basic needs.
CLASP believes not only that we have a moral obligation to help the most vulnerable families, but also that the country and the economy are stronger when we all do well.

That's why we spent 2012 promoting bold jobs and economic security policy initiatives. It's why we worked tirelessly to include work-sharing programs, which provide employers with an alternative to layoffs, in the unemployment insurance extension bill passed in February. It's why we created guides to help states with innovative early childhood financing strategies and home visiting systems. And it's why we are so excited about the Benefits Access for College Completion initiative, which launched its implementation phase this year and will test new approaches to increasing the number of students earning postsecondary credentials.
2012 has been an incredible year for CLASP, but we need your help to keep up this work.
Please consider a generous (and fully tax-deductible) gift to CLASP. There's a lot of work to do in 2013 on behalf of low-income workers and families.
We're looking forward to continuing to work with the Obama administration and with the new Congress in 2013 and beyond. With your support, CLASP stands ready to ensure the policymaking process does a good job of expanding opportunity for all in this country.
From all of us at CLASP, thank you.
