Elizabeth Lower-Basch, senior policy analyst for the Workforce Development team at CLASP, will participate in the panel discussion Ending the Code Language: Race-Baiting and Stereotypes in Public Benefits at the Center for American Progress on Feb. 23, 2012 from 12 - 1:15 pm. Ms. Lower-Bash and other experts will answer questions surrounding the history of race-baiting, racial stereotyping, and misinformation about benefits programs and their participants. The discussion will also focus on how this history is connected to the current status quo in politics and policymaking.
