Public Policy Forum on Issues Impacting Low-Income Women

Elizabeth Lower-Basch, senior policy analyst at CLASP, will present at a Public Policy Forum on Issues Impacting Low-Income Women in Washington, DC, on Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. ET. The forum, co-sponsored by the National Coalition for Literacy and the Institute on Women's Policy Research, will bring together advocacy organizations, policymakers from Congress and federal agencies, and researchers to share what we know, what we still need to know, and what policy moves are on the near agenda. Ms. Lower-Basch will speak on the status of low-income women eligible for TANF, provide an update on the reauthorization of TANF and advise advocates on what they should be watching for at the national and state level.
