NAEYC Professional Development Institute: Presentation on Best Practices for Engaging Families in Children's Early Learning

On Wednesday, June 11, at the National Association for the Education of Young Children Professional Development Institute, CLASP Senior Policy Analyst Christine Johnson-Staub National Center for Children in Poverty Early Childhood Director Sheila Smith will present “Engaging Families in Children’s Learning: Best Practices for Each Stage of Early Childhood and Reaching the Most Vulnerable.” This presentation will discuss the research surrounding family engagement for children from birth to grade three—particularly for vulnerable and low-income families—including how best practices differ depending on the age of the child, as well as related policy and practice implications at the federal and state level.
