Marcie Foster, policy analyst for the Workforce Development team at CLASP, will facilitate the discussion How Federal Policy Can Support Career Pathways and Bridge Programs for Lower-Skilled at the Education Works! Strategies Linking Adult Literacy with Workforce Skills on Nov. 1, 2011 in Des Moines, IA. During Ms. Foster's session, participants will learn how existing and emerging policies on the federal level support career pathways and bridge programs for low-skilled adults, adult education linked with training, and credential attainment for low-skilled adults and youth. Participants will also hear about how other states have utilized a braided funding approach to implement cross-system pathways and support education and training in an austere budget climate.
