Automatic Budget Cuts will Decrease Federal UI Benefits by 11%

As a result of automatic budget cuts that kicked in this month, federal unemployment benefits for the long-term unemployed will be cut back by 10.7 percent beginning on or after March 31, 2013. The cuts get bigger the longer states wait to implement them.
