Affordable Care Act Spurs State Eligibility System Upgrades

Last April the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the availability for enhanced federal funding for upgrading or replacing technology systems to help states defray the costs of preparing for the Affordable Care Act. As of January 1, 2012, 18 states have received approval and an additional 11 have submitted plans to CMS.
