Employers and Paid Sick Days

October 27, 2010

Already, more than 100 businesses of different sizes and industries have supported paid sick days. Businesses that provide paid sick days benefit from reduced turnover, lower recruitment costs, increased productivity, and reduced absenteeism. But 40 percent of private sector workers in the U.S. lack any paid sick days.

More than 100 employers on the following list support paid sick days. In most states listed, there is an active paid sick days campaign.  You can find out more about the campaigns by visiting the National Partnership for Women and Families.  For more stories about employees and some employers, please visit the story bank at the Family Values at Work Consortium.

Small Business Network for Paid Sick Days:

The Small Business Network for Paid Sick Days is a group of Connecticut business owners and management professional who believe that a common-sense paid sick days policy benefits employers, employees and customers.
