On Sept. 9, 2011, CLASP and the American Association of Community Colleges hosted the webinar, the Case for Improving Access to Public Benefits at Community Colleges, for college presidents and staff invited to submit letters of interest to participate in the Accessing Benefits to Improve Community College Retention and Completion Initiative. The webinar provided an introduction to public benefits and the reasons why they matter for community college students, as well as information about the initiative.
