Declining Availability of Jobs for Low-Skilled Workers
Today's workers need more education to land a job. In 1973, 32 percent of jobs were open to workers who failed to complete high school, and an additional 40 percent were open to those with only a high school diploma. By 2018, only 10 percent of jobs will be open to those who fail to complete high school, and 28 percent will be open to those with only a high school diploma.
