President Proposes New Transitional Jobs Grant Program

The President's budget request for FY 2010 calls for $50 million to develop the Transitional Jobs model and demonstrate its effectiveness for non-custodial parents and other individuals who need assistance to enter and succeed in the workforce. This is an important milestone because it is the first time a dedicated federal investment has been proposed for these programs.
