New Funding for Hard-to-Employ Adults
Jul 24, 2009
New York City plans to use a portion of the $32 million in federal funding it received under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to provide job preparation and placement services for nearly 2,000 adults with low basic skills, limited English proficiency, criminal records and disabilities. These services will help individuals with barriers to employment enter or re-enter the workforce in the midst of a challenging economy.
