Final Report of Head Start Impact Study Released

Today, the final report of the Head Start Impact Study was presented to Congress. The study examined the cognitive and social/emotional development, health status and behavior of a set of randomly assigned 3- and 4-year-olds in Head Start. In response to the study, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced steps in ongoing efforts to ensure that Head Start provides high-quality comprehensive programs for the nation's most vulnerable children.
