Young Children Living Below Poverty 2007-2011

Between 2007 and 2011 the percentage of children under age 6 living below poverty or in low-income households has steadily increased. The percentage of young children living below poverty rose from 20.5 in 2007 to 25.6 in 2011, and the percentage of young children living in low-income households has increased from 43.0 in 2007 to 48.6 in 2011.
