Higher Education Opportunity Act
The Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA) authorizes the federal government's major student aid programs, as well as aid to institutions and other initiatives. The act was most recently reauthorized in August 2008 as the Higher Education Opportunity Act. CLASP advocates for policies that will increase postsecondary access and success for nontraditional students such as working adults and older youth.
