Marcie Foster is a senior policy analyst at CLASP’s Center for Postsecondary and Economic Success. Her work is focused on analyzing and advocating for federal higher education policies that help underprepared and low-income adults and youth access and succeed in college. Ms. Foster also advocates for federal adult education policies that help low-skilled learners prepare for career and economic success and provides technical assistance to states designing career pathways and bridge programs for low-skilled adults. In addition to her role at CLASP, she is a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the public policy committee of the National Coalition for Literacy, and a member of the National Board of Advisors for the Goodling Institute for Research in Family Literacy.
Prior to joining CLASP, Ms. Foster worked at GMMB, where she provided strategic communications support to a variety of organizations in higher education, environmental issues and public health. Ms. Foster graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in American Politics and holds a Master of Public Policy from George Mason University. She was awarded a 2012-2013 fellowship with the Bryce Harlow Foundation for excellence in federal advocacy.
