Abigail Newcomer

Policy Analyst, Workforce Development

Ms. Newcomer is a policy analyst on the Workforce Development team at CLASP.  Her work focuses on income and work supports. Most recently, she worked on a U.S. Senate campaign, as a fellow in the office of Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, and as a legislative aide in the Massachusetts House.  Ms. Newcomer also served as a financial literacy program manager and instructor from 2003 to 2006. In this position,  she worked with community organizations in Massachusetts and New York to provide sound information to those disconnected from the economic mainstream.  She holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and a B.A. in sociology from Bates College.
