Mr. Salyers brings to CLASP more than 25 years of communications experience, with a particular focus on nonprofits. He worked for 12+ years at ZERO TO THREE, a national nonprofit focused on early childhood development, where he was director of communications and development. In addition, he ran his own consulting practice and offered his expertise to such well-respected nonprofits as Child Trends, Voices for Georgia's Children, DC Action for Children, and ZERO TO THREE. He is a skilled communicator with proven written and oral communication abilities. He has published op-eds and letters to the editor (carrying both his own byline and those of his clients) in the New York Times, Washington Post, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, USA Today, LA Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Newsweek, among others. Tom graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
